We arrived just before sunset and walked the main ramparts, visited the Rani Mahal and several rock-cut temples. Highlights: detailed pillar carvings near the inner temple, and an unbeatable view of the valley from the western bastion. Practical tips: wear sturdy shoes (many uneven steps), bring water, and expect a short walk from car parking. Great for couple photos, wide landscape shots, and short video clips of the sunset over the fort.

Amazing place and very underrated fort among other forts in india. It is expanded on the whole mountain and it will be 2 days to explore the whole fort area if you explore every building deeply.
Clean roads with beautiful and silent forests.
If you are unable to walk for too long go with the vehicle and be aware of langurs while walking.
Amazing and beautiful view you will see from the top of the mountain.
Many shivling, murtis and a big 7.5m bhairava murti are made on a mountain by cutting the mountain.
I will visit again since in one day I didn't explore the whole fort because it is expanded in a big area and I like to explore each thing deeply in historical places.

Kalinjar finds its mention in ancient Hindu mythological texts. Great place to visit with friends...if you choose trekking route it might be tiresome as stairs are huge ..not recommended for elderly persons..take food items along with yourself as you won't find much in this area as it seems underdeveloped. One this is sure that you will be astonished by its beauty having such a history still standing tall and proud..a living example of our rich history ❣️❣️
